Groundbreaking of Zell-Metall
2nd construction phase in Niedernsill
24 October 2022
Zell-Metall Engineering Plastics GmbH from Kaprun is continuing the expansion of the Niedernsill plant with the second construction phase. A state-of-the-art competence center for sustainability and recycling is being built on an area of approx. 4,500 m2, which follows the global trend towards the sustainability of plastic materials.
With expanded business concepts, Zell-Metall's customers, especially in Central Europe, are offered an expanded range of services, in particular to avoid residues. In doing so, plastic remnants are to be returned as quickly and sorted as possible to the recycling process of Zell-Metall through the customer-specific order processing of standard formats. This ensures that the technical properties of the high-performance materials are retained and the proportion of residues is significantly reduced.
The new building will be constructed using the most modern construction methods, including concrete core activation, a photovoltaic system and connection to the district heating network, thus creating high-quality working conditions. The completion of phase 2, including the commissioning of the state-of-the-art warehouse and shipping infrastructure, is planned for Q3/2023. Overall, the expansion of the Niedernsill plant of Zell-Metall GmbH to a total area of approx. 15,000 m2 is planned.
